This new NVQ recognises the competence of those who install, service and repair a range of door types, including most of those supplied by DHF members.
The only assessment centre at present is:
National Specialist Office, CITB Construction Skills, Charnwood Wing, Holywell Park, Ashby Rd., Loughborough LE11 3GJ
Successful completion of the NVQ is currently the only way of obtaining a CSCS blue "skilled worker" card for the occupation of Door Systems Engineer. Candidates who have begun their NVQ can, however, obtain non-renewable red (trainee) or blue (experienced worker) cards valid for three years only. Details are available on the CSCS web site

Unit 1052402 - PR07 Carry out slinging and signalling for the movement of loads
